Story
Yang Jian, the offspring of a mortal and the Jade Emperor's sister, faced the consequences of a forbidden union between god and human. His mother bore the punishment, exiled and imprisoned beneath Tao Mountain.
Born with a celestial third eye, Yang Jian trained under Master Yuding, honing skills that forged him into a valiant hunter and warrior. Tasked by his mentor to aid Jiang Ziya, they waged war against Emperor Dixin's tyranny. Along this path, a steadfast companion emerged: Xiaotian, a canine whose howl echoed across the heavens.
His strength grew, enabling him to cleave Tao Mountain and liberate his captive mother. Yet this act stoked the ire of the Jade Emperor, prompting him to dispatch his ten sons as golden birds turned suns, seeking to immolate Yang's mother. Down came nine, halted only by Master Yuding's counsel against vengeance and wrath.
Yang Jian brokered peace, striking a deal with the Jade Emperor. In exchange for his mother's freedom, he became an unbound god, designated as the "Protector of the Yangtze River," exempt from the laws that governed the celestial realm.
